Olympic Gleaners coordinates volunteers to harvest surplus local produce and distributes it to food banks and meal programs in Port Angeles and Sequim.
We serve as the link between growers with produce to share and neighbors who need it by coordinating groups of volunteers to harvest prod
uce from backyard fruit trees, gardens, and farms. Volunteers pick, package and deliver the produce to local food banks and meal programs. These programs distribute it to neighbors in need, who get to enjoy fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables – food that might otherwise go to waste. We are a community-based OlyCAP volunteer project.

Meet at 10am every Monday in the parking lot in front of Nash's Shed (the big barn to the W of Nash's Farm Store). Look for Lee Bowen, Nash's volunteer coordinator.
Visit Nash's website for directions.
We glean a variety of produce at Nash's - lettuce, carrots, beets, greens, potatoes, and more! Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Bring cardboard boxes (preferably produce boxes). Gloves, buckets, hand trowels, and kitchen knives are often helpful for harvesting, too.
Please also e-mail us at OlympicGleaners@gmail.com so we can add you to our e-mail list and alert you if a Nash's gleaning day is canceled.
